The Last Wishes of a Lonely Ghost

If you meet me on the other side

Please don’t tell me how I died

It might’ve been from hate and pain

Or something equally insane

I’d rather not remember

And should you chance to see him too

There’s one request I have for you

Don’t tell him that I ended things

Because of minor cuts and dings

Please tell him I was strong

Let him think I made it through

The way I was expected to

I didn’t stop before my time

I lived a life that was sublime

And very beautiful

I will think that he did well

With no more drama left to tell

He finished all his work to do

And to his calling he stayed true

And he ended happy.
